"I'm sorry," she said gently. She had not had anyone disappear on her yet, but she knew that it was possible.
Greta had been through so much already. This seemed unfair. And it seemed strange for her to think of anything as unfair.
Amalthea slipped closer, standing next to Greta as she looked up at the house.
"Would you like company?" she asked. "Do you need to walk through it?"
