A good portion of Greta's anxiety melts away as the two girls start kicking the ball back and forth. It's a relief to see them getting on. Jordan might be having a little difficulty kicking the ball accurately, but that's to be expected. At least she's not half again Saoirse's size and inclined towards bowling the other girl over, which is what seems to happen with irritating frequency at Saoirse's games.

"Wouldn't you rather be rescued after a few pictures than not rescued at all?" Greta asks, eyebrows raised. "Besides, I'm sure you could hold your own for at least a few minutes."
