Greta can feel her pulse quicken and her cheeks prickle as they make their way towards the men's wear section. Which is absurd, really, because she's been there before in the not too recent past. It's where she and Saoirse found Thomas some cufflinks that subtly matched the jewelry he'd gifted them on the solstice, with a little help from Biffy.

But she's never been there to shop for herself.

"Well, we needn't entertain the ridiculous ideas," she says, grateful for the distraction even as she finds it a little hard to focus. "Did he seem to like any of yours more than others?"
